Take
the pelt and rub it liberally with salt. Make sure
the salt reaches into tight areas.
Then mount it on a flat board, flesh side up,
using tacks or push pins to stretch and hold it in
place, as shown in this photo. After several days,
the skin should be sufficiently dry and ready to
be mounted (it should be rubbed with borax), or
tanned and kept as a pelt. |
