In this photo, I am demonstrating the first of two different methods for skinning the foot. If you plan to mount the specimen, you can leave the whole foot on (intact), as shown in this photo. Cut the foot from the leg with your scissors, leaving the foot attached to the pelt. This is the easier method, but it is not preferable because the foot tends to shrink and will not look as lifelike. The solution to this is to inject the foot with an embalming fluid.
